Dear Purple Woman is a platform for the Christian woman to unite, connect and share the love of Christ.

Dear Purple Woman launched in November 2015.

DPW’s motive is to:

  • Encourage young people to be firm in the pursuit of Christ.
  • See people walk in their God-given identity and share the love of Christ.
  • Open eyes to the driving force behind what we’ve been prepared in advance to do.

The name Dear Purple Woman was inspired by the scripture:

She makes herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and PURPLE – Proverbs 31:22

In ancient times, the cost needed to make the colour purple was exceedingly expensive and time consuming and so purple was only reserved for dignitaries, the rich or royalties.

To this end, purple was dominant in the furnishing of the tabernacle, in the book of Exodus, perhaps, as a way of God proclaiming to Israel that the greatest royalty and King of all is Himself.

This may just explain why the Romans mockingly put a purple robe on Jesus as they led Him out to be crucified in Mark 15:17-20.

Glory to God, we are all now children of God, the King by faith in Christ Jesus and have been translated into the kingdom of His dear Son.
