Seriously, how many more days will you need to go past before you start doing what you’re really passionate about?

Dear Purple Reader, before now, I used to think that you had to be a perfectionist, you had to be extremely creative, and flawless to start up something you really desire. But until one day I said to myself, light a fire!

Look, everyone has amazing gifts and talents, a vast majority of us don’t know this, and those that do don’t recognize how powerful these gifts are, and that we’re meant to use our special talents. May I inform you that the happy and overly energetic professional finds what he’s good at, then carves out path where he can use these abilities to be of service to others.

Dear Purple Woman

At first, when I started unriddling how to find and do what I love, I was confused because not all passion tilts you towards destiny. Of course, doing something you love make you excited, but you definitely don’t want to spend your whole live climbing a ladder only to find out once you get to the top, that the ladder has been leaning against the wrong wall, so I did just this:

Call unto Me, and I will answer you, and I will show you great and mighty things you never knew. [Jeremiah 33:3]

Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart [Psalms 37:4]

Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. [Proverbs 3:5-6]

You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. [Psalms 16:11]

Although, some are lucky enough to know exactly what they want in life and go for it.

When I started @dearpurplewoman I couldn’t think much further than doing what I love on a daily basis.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. [Matthew 6:21]

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. [Colossians 3:23]

Dear Purple Reader, if you find what you do empty and meaningless and don’t want to do it one day more, just decide, “I’m done with this!” and seek God’s guidance. You don’t have to be rich and perfect to start something that honors what you have on the inside.

Thanks for spending time with me.

Drop a comment on how this truth shapes you.

Until next time, enjoy your day.

  1. Message on point DPW.

We don’t have to wait till we have all resources at our disposal lest we might never start anything.
God specializes in blessing the work of our hands, multiplying our little investments (like steward’s talent), and aligning us rightly; if and only if we get started.
Ignite your passion for the right cause and don’t despise that minor beginning.
