Presumably, most of us want to unleash our potentials, fulfill our dreams, walk in purpose, leave behind footprints on the sands of time… But all of these don’t happen overnight, it is continuous, it is a process, it is a journey and to successfully travel this road of fulfillment and discovery, there is a decision you need to make and it is this one choice that makes the thrust of today’s piece.
Dear Purple Reader, at the end of your “tour” on earth, you will be made to give account of how you spent life, your resources and opportunities made available to you by God:
So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. [Romans 14:12]
You want a better life and you’ve been made to believe in so many path in life to take.
Thus, the scripture says:
There is a way that seems right before a man, but its latter end are ways of ruin. [Proverbs 14:12]
Hence, Christ says in John 14:6 and John 15:1 respectively:
I am the WAY, and the TRUTH and the LIFE…
I am the TRUE VINE…
Myles Munroe, in one of his books wrote that:
Jesus calls Himself the TRUE VINE because there are a lot of other vines around to get hooked into: education, philosophy, science, even religion.
The word vine here literally means “source of life.” Like the grape vine for its branches, Jesus is our Source of life.
If you depend on education, all you are going to have is what education can offer — an intellectual stimulation. No matter how many degrees you get, you are living below your potential because you are feeding on a false vine.
However, this is not to say education is not beneficial, get educated, it is good, but not the ultimate.
Christ goes on to say in John 15:5:
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do NOTHING.
No one can seek or find purpose in life without knowing the true source. Christ is the only authentic way to find life’s purpose and fulfillment.

There is absolutely no way to understand our divine calling and purpose without having a constant relationship with God. No. Not one way except Christ and His word:
His word is a lamp to guide our feet and a light for our path. [Psalms 119:105]
God wants us to get moving on our dreams. He wants us to take a step of faith so He can fulfill His purpose in us. He wants to be the solution to our rolling stone that gathers no moss. But first you’ve got to:
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you EVERYTHING you need. [Matthew 6:33]
If you’re willing and ready to walk in purpose, ask Christ to come into your life and craft it in whatever way He wants to.
Dear Purple Reader, by welcoming Christ today, you are on the right track to discovering and finding your purpose in life contrary to the world’s belief.
And that, my friend, is the way, walk in it.
