It is one thing to know what is in your hand and it’s another to put what you have into use. Today I will be sharing with you the need to bless others with your God-given gifts.
Dear Purple Reader, it is interesting to know that we are all born with unique abilities and talents. But these talents aren’t given to us just for our own benefit. God has equipped us so we can use our gifts to bless others.
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. (1 Corinthians 12:4-7)
What we do with what we have is what counts with God. You rob yourself and those around you if you intend burying your talents.
In the “Parable of the Talents“, a master went on a journey and left his servants instructions about what they were to do while he was gone. He also left them the means to do it. However, the man with one talent never used his, and his talent was eventually given to the man who had ten and traded it.
Dear Purple Reader, God has given us our talents, gifts and abilities. He has offered talents to all, entrusting us with a mission to put it into use. The world is waiting for you to make a change in someone’s life. Don’t be afraid to step out in faith, so those who are waiting on you will not suffer.
Paul while exhorting Timothy said,
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God…
God has left none of us without talent. Every man and woman has a duty to grow his/her gifts and talents, and to exercise them to encourage and build those in need.
You are to look inward and see what you can give back. You owe it to yourself and to the world, to use your talent. Remember, your gift is my blessing just as mine is yours. Don’t withhold it!
